Do it Royally!

How important is it to KNOW what the end result will be when you start something? I guess it depends on what you’re doing. If you’re just making yourself a snack it doesn’t really matter what you throw together, especially if you have plenty of food and it won’t matter if it’s a flop or if you’re able to eat it regardless of what it tastes like. However if you’re making the food for a wedding … like say a royal wedding … it might make a huge difference … like whether or not you’re able to continue doing business as a cook or if your business fails because you become known as the person who ruined the wedding. I guess it also depends on what you want to be known for.

Inspiration is what we get when we just sit and doodle. Genius is what happens when we work at and perfect our inspirations. God has gifted each of us with so many different gifts and talents. We need to hone the gifts He’s given us and we need to spur one another on to good deeds. We need to encourage one another to do the best that we can with the gifts we’re given.

1 Timothy 4

7 Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. 8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. 9 This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance. 11 … Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you. … 15 Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.
